The 5 Best Wedding Destinations in Tuscany

Updated: Dec 29, 2023

In recent years, Tuscany has now become a very popular destination wedding for our American spouses.

Last week we decided to carve out some time to go and visit it, I admit that I was a bit afraid, visiting certain places during the winter does not have the same effect as if we visited the same place in the summer. However, I was pleasantly surprised and I want to tell you about my personal experience in Tuscany.

Scrolling through the streets of Tuscany, lined with cypresses and landscapes worthy of a postcard, we have rediscovered a region that has a lot to offer. A region whose beauty can be grasped by its authenticity.

The atmosphere you experience there and the air you breathe is something that I find difficult to describe in words. Only those who visit Tuscany and live it will be able to understand what I am talking about.

Our mission was to discover new villas that we could propose to our spouses, and let me tell you that the mission was accomplished.

Here is the list of the 5 most beautiful wedding destinations in Tuscany.

Villa Petriolo is the perfect balance between the uncontaminated nature and Renaissance art, between the modern sustainablelifestyle and the Tuscan traditions. It provides 35 elegant and unique rooms that canaccomodate up to 80 guests.

A structural complex, a renovated 16th century building where you can discover and admire its history that is reflected in past centuries. A place where relax and luxury are blended in with natural and sustainable agriculture production.

Villa Petriolo was the villa that entered my heart from the first moment I saw it. Surrounded by cypressi and vineyards, is the ideal place for those who want to reconnect to nature and experience Tuscany at 360 degrees.

Not only does it offer multiple activities to entertain its guests like wine tasting, horse riding, cooking classes and so on.. but it is the ideal place for destination weddings.

Villa Petriolo is big enough for events with more than 100 people and most importantly it offers different areas where you can celebrate your wedding.

Conti di San Bonifacio, overlooking the vineyards and Maremma hills from its hilltop setting,

is surrounded by the typical Tuscan cypresses and framed by a mix of hillside and pink peach palette sky. The Conti di San Bonifacio Wine & Wellness Retreat has 7 Luxury Suites in total and can accommodate up to 20 people.

It's stunning view over toscany's vineyard was one of the most magical views I have ever seen. We visited this location during the sunset, and let me tell you this, the atmosphere there it's incredible. All those colors, the peace, the background classic music they play inside, everything has contributed to experiencing this place under a different light.

It's a very intimate place and a perfect location for a destination wedding for those who want something intimate and romantic.

Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, located within the UNESCO-listed Val d’Orcia Natural Park, in the prestigious Brunello di Montalcino wine-making region, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is a 5,000-acre country estate founded by Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo.

Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is a unique combination: it’s an elegant home away from home in a pristine swathe of rural Tuscany, and a superb culinary destination. The 800-year-old estate comprises the ancient castle ruins, a medieval church, and the Borgo, a historic village that now forms the heart of the resort.

Castello di Velona is a 1000 years old Castle with a dreamlike atmosphere. It's located on the top of a hill sorrounded by 360 views of UNESCO Heritage Val d’Orcia and Brunello vineyards, and it's the only Castle in the World with its natural hot thermal water in all the 4 interconnected Pools.

The Castle is sorrounded by 5 terraces overlooking amazing views in each of the 4 Cardinal Points for unforgettable pictures.

Borgo San Felice is an ancient Tuscan village, in the hills of the Chianti Classico. In the surroundings Siena, Montalcino and the enchanting landscapes of the Crete Senesi; woods, olive groves and vineyards that have known the hand of man for centuries.
